Handmade Craft Market In true democratic style we had a hung vote for our best dress stand awards. So we called in 3 independent voters to decide on the winner and we have come to a decision. Everyone's stands were amazing and I can't wait to see the market in November. But without further adieu the winner is.....................Carolyn

Wow!!! What a busy few weeks. Central Coast Handmade Market was HUGE and very successful for me! So many people turned up to see quality stalls, entertainment, coffee, food and plenty of sunshine.
Now it is go go go to be ready for the big Handmade Market in Canberra on September 11 and the next day at the Old Bus Depot Market in Canberra too.
Life is never dull that is for sure!!

Here is a link to' Shophandmade Canberra' where I have wraps for sale. I am so looking forward to the Canberra Handmade Market on Saturday 11th September. It will be great to head back down south for a couple of days and mix with lots of fellow artists and craftmakers as well as meet lots of local people. The handmade market is a fabulous concept for those that love to purchase something unique and handmade here in our own country! Look forward to seeing you there!

What's in the window...
This week's designer showcase window features a delicious collection of wearable fibre art pieces by Carolyn Kohler. Her collection of wraps and ponchettes are all 100% silk and wool created using traditional nuno felting techniques, in beautiful colours and forms inspired by nature, each of these pieces are truly unique to Shop Handmade...

"All embellishments used are natural fibres and I hand dye all my fleece and silk making each piece completely unique. No two are the same."
I must say it was very exciting to see this article on line about my creations in Canberra!
Especially when I saw my name on the window! If any of you happen to be in Canberra this week, make sure you pop in to have a look.
More scarves on today's agenda and just the perfect weather for felting. Only 6 weeks to go till the Central Coast handmade market so I best be getting busy!
Have a great day!

Hi to you all out there in cyber world!! Thank you for visiting my blog.
What a gorgeous day it was today!! Nice and cool with plenty of sunshine flooding into my studio ... just how I like it! My last couple of pieces have incorporated camel into the mix of merino and silk. I am loving the colour and texture of this combination.
By the studio door my orchid spikes are getting longer every day. Can't wait for them to bloom and provide weeks of colour and inspiration for my work. With markets coming up on the Central Coast and in Canberra I am busy, busy, busy working day and night creating wraps, scarves, vests and brooches.
Business is rolling along and I am loving the journey I find myself taking.
Happy felting!
